100 now out for Getaways

One of our key drivers is empowering communities to access new opportunities by rail. This past year, we’ve supported 100 young people from Oxfordshire to access natural spaces and outdoor experiences by rail through our Getaways programme.

All this is only made possible by working with our amazing community partners, Oxford Community Action, Leys CDI, Word Fountain Youth Ambition.

We co-designed 7 days out by train, where young people discovered new environments, got active, and grew their travel confidence.

Young adventurers have been canoeing on the Oxford Canal, hiking in the Cotswolds National Landscape, and delving into history at Warwick Castle.
