Our approach

Oxfordshire Community Rail Partnership (OxCRP) is uniquely placed to support delivery of grassroots projects linked to the local rail network. We are the only organisation in Oxfordshire specifically set up to work closely with community organisations, local government and the rail industry on joint projects which bring benefits to all partners, using our skills and knowledge to find common ground and areas of interest. The rail industry can be challenging to engage for third sector organisations, but OxCRP already has the contacts in place.

Working alongside our rail industry partners, we deliver a range of community led research, consultations and engagements. We focus on improving access to opportunities in Oxfordshire, particularly for underrepresented groups and those who have traditionally had less access to the benefits of the railway network. Our projects help both residents and visitors benefit from sustainable transport.

We work with our partners to develop rail-based solutions that address short-term needs and enable longer-term change.

Our projects cover four broad themes, which are the main programme areas for OxCRP's projects. Clicking on each activity area below will take you to a page with more information about our work in this field. Some projects cover more than one programme areas so you will find those projects on more than one of the pages.
