Empowering local communities through access to sustainable transport
Our vision
Oxfordshire Community Rail Partnership (OxCRP) is uniquely placed to support delivery of grassroots projects linked to the local rail network. Working closely with community organisations, local government and our rail industry partners, we deliver a range of community led research, consultations and engagements.
We focus on improving access to opportunities in Oxfordshire, particularly for underrepresented groups and those who have traditionally had less access to the benefits of the railway network. Our projects help both residents and visitors benefit from sustainable transport.
We work with our partners to develop rail-based solutions that address short-term needs and enable longer-term change.
Our projects cover four broad areas of activity:
All of our work is closely aligned to the Department of Transport’s four pillars of
community rail, which are:
-
providing a voice for the community
-
promoting sustainable, healthy, and accessible travel
-
bringing communities together, supporting diversity and inclusion
-
supporting social and economic development
